Anti-literacy law was a curse to the life and well-being of the African-American. This law choked almost all ways of providing major education to the African-Americans. Additionally, it can further be stated that this law not only limited Black’s educational opportunities rather also imposed imprisonment in order to prevent Blacks from reading and writing. Furthermore, this law also prohibited the Whites from teaching Blacks and in other way, it imposed prohibition upon assembling for the sake of teaching, reading and writing.
